Thomas Hardye students accepted for RA On-line Exhibition

Royal Academy entrants

 

Once again Thomas Hardye students have had spectacular success in gaining entries to the Royal Academy A Level Summer Exhibition. These entries can be viewed at: https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibition/a-level-online-2018

From over 2100 entries nationwide, forty three artworks were selected which includes 9 from Thomas Hardye, a fantastic achievement. The works include paintings, sculpture and photography.

The artists involved from Thomas Hardye are:

Natalie Atwell (2 entries accepted)

Gabriella Bailey

Gemma Baker

James Cooke (2 entries accepted)

Luke Milligan

Ben Sewill (also shortlisted for a second work)

Kiyani Shah

 

In addition Elsie Moore was shortlisted, only just missing out at the end, but still a great achievement Shortlisted artists will be shown on the RA Flickr site.

Mali Morris of the RA said, talking of the exhibition " We were amazed by the strength of the works, by their energy, inventiveness and sense of exploration. Congratulations to all the students and their teachers, and cheers to the schools that believe Art is still a vital subject".

At Thomas Hardye we agree whole heartedly with that, as shown by the standard of art work continually produced here and which is being recognised nationally for its excellence.
