The Thomas Hardye School is a 13-18 mixed comprehensive school with 2300 on roll including 800 in the Sixth Form. It is a part of the Wessex Multi Academy Trust. Teaching Assistant - XS10.4b

Contract:30.58 hours per week – 37.8 weeks a year. Fixed term post until 31st August 2026
Starting Salary:Grade 5, point 5, £16,193 per annum (full time equivalent: £23,500)

We are seeking to appoint an innovative Teaching Assistant to support students in school. You will be skilled at engaging and motivating students who find learning and communicating a challenge, in the classroom as well as during intervention groups.

We are looking for someone who is

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the learning needs of all young people
  • Good at building relationships with young people and other adults
  • Qualified at least to level 2 (grade C or above at GCSE) in English and Maths
  • Able to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality
  • Adaptable, flexible, proactive and relentlessly optimistic
