The Thomas Hardye School is a 13-18 mixed comprehensive school with 2300 on roll including 800 in the Sixth Form. It is a part of the Wessex Multi Academy Trust. Starting Salary:

Grade 4, £19,857 with possible increments to £20,441. Full time equivalent salary is up to £24,790.

We are seeking to appointment an Admin Officer to support our school Sixth Form Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of a senior Administrative Officer, and work closely with the Head of Sixth Form. Duties and responsibilities will be varied, and will include significant amounts of time using a computer. A key responsibility will be handling Sixth Form student attendance, and therefore the role will involve significant contact with students.

We require:

  • Someone with a flexible approach to managing workload, who can prioritise task depending on what is required, and organise their workload.
  • Someone approachable, who is able to adapt their communication style in order to ensure a professional approach to working with colleagues, students, and external professionals.
  • Experience working in a school office environment would be beneficial.

Job Description 

Teacher of A-Level Psychology (Maternity Cover)

Contract:

MPS / UPS full time or part time will be considered

Within the Social Sciences Faculty, we require an outstanding and inspirational teacher of psychology for a one-year maternity cover starting in September 2026. For suitable candidates, there is the possibility of an Easter 2025 start. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons and achieving excellent results for your students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn. A willingness to teach throughout Years 9 to 13, and to offer a second subject, is advantageous even though the majority of your teaching would be post-16. The course has been designed and developed with an excellent bank of resources making it a suitable position for a candidate with prior experience teaching A Levels that may not necessarily include psychology. In these instances, an enthusiasm and genuine interest to develop your knowledge in the subject would be essential.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with a good sense of humour and the drive and energy to thrive in this outstanding school.  This post would suit either an NQT or a more experienced colleague.

We require a well-qualified and highly motivated teacher to join the Design Department.  You will be committed to outstanding standards in teaching and learning and have a passion for working with young people.  You will have excellent subject knowledge, with the ability to teach food preparation and nutrition up to a minimum of key stage 4.  The ability to teach health and social care and/or an alternative design and technology subject would be an advantage.  The post is full-time.

The Design Department offers a range of courses at GCSE and KS 5 in specialised and well-resourced accommodation.  It is a vibrant and dynamic team providing all learners with an exciting range of experiences.
