Code of conduct
Acceptable conduct is demonstrated by:
- respecting oneself, others and the school’s facility, resources and grounds.
- engaging in responsible behaviour in all learning and school activities (attend all classes regularly, be at your lesson by the second bell, be prepared for class, complete all assignments, and use good manners).
- modelling respectful, responsible and resilient behaviour to peers and younger students, in the community and whilst acting as school ambassadors or wearing school uniform.
- Behaving in a manner that does not compromise the safety or well-being of others.
In our school environment there can be no:
- Bullying, cyber-bullying, harassment or marginalisation.
- Threats or intimidation.
- Violence in any form.
- Abuse in any form.
- Discrimination in any form based on race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religion, marital status, family status, age, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity and expression.
- Retribution against a person who has reported incidents.
The School does not tolerate:
- Plagiarism.
- Theft or vandalism.
- Intoxicating or banned substances.
- Weapons or replica weapons or explosives.
- Intruders or trespassers (all visitors to the school must first report to the office and should be wearing a school lanyard).
The School expects students to be aware that:
The use of electronic devices is not acceptable around the school site except in sixth form designated areas or in classes where the teacher has expressly provided permission. Students must be aware that they may be subject to discipline (or, if applicable, confiscation of personal property) for misuse of technology if it negatively impacts on the school environment.
